The WIS\u0141A 1200 route runs along the Vistula \u2013 the largest Polish river. Start from the PTTK shelter \"Na Przys\u0142opie\" under Barania G\u00f3ra, at an altitude of 951 m above sea level, near the Wykapy Czarna Wise\u0142ka; finish in Gda\u0144sk at an altitude of 1 m above sea level. Along the way, almost 1,200 kilometres of effort, dedication, competition, adventure and communion with nature and history, which are hard to find in other places in Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The rules of WIS\u0141A 1200 are simple:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You must complete the entire VISTULA 1200 Route on your bicycle using your own muscle power in accordance with these Rules.<\/li>\n<li>Only crossing rivers across their current may be done using floating vessels (if the route includes ferry crossings).<\/li>\n<li>The entire VISTULA 1200 Route must be completed without any external support. This means that if you want to ride in clean shorts, you must bring them with you, wash them or buy them along the way.<\/li>\n<li>This rule applies to all aspects of completing the VISTULA 1200 Route, including eating, drinking, sleeping, and servicing equipment. Everyone must have equal opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Support between raid participants is in accordance with the Rules.<\/li>\n<li>The entire WIS\u0141A 1200 Route must be completed in accordance with its course provided by the organizer, respecting the remaining WIS\u0141A 1200 Rules and the law (private property, nature conservation, road traffic law). If the designated route is flooded or otherwise impassable, find a detour and return to the trail in a safe place.<\/li>\n<li>Leaving the Route is permitted without restrictions provided that you return to the Route at the same point where you left it.<\/li>\n<li>The travel time is counted non-stop from the start to the check-in at the finish line.<\/li>\n<li>Individual classification will be conducted separately for women and men. The order will be determined by the time taken to complete the Route in accordance with the Vistula 1200 Rules. The maximum time limit for classification is 180 hours. Someone has to win, but no one will lose.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Confirmation of completing the Vistula 1200 route will be its recording in the GPX format, made by the participant while traveling.<\/li>\n<li>The organizers advise against traveling at night or in other conditions that limit visibility and safety. However, if you decide to do so, you must be equipped with front and rear lighting to ensure your and others\u2019 safety. Remember that in conditions of limited visibility and long-term fatigue, your ability to realistically assess threats is limited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Only adults who guarantee that they will complete the Route without any damage to their health can take part in Vistula 1200. You cannot take part in Vistula 1200 without proper preparation of your fitness, equipment and techniques for long-distance cycling powered by your own muscles, as well as without first testing your abilities in cycling.
